really bad, rotten, no good day (whining)

:-(

I lost a contact this morning.  I've just recently discovered this.

This morning, right after I put in my left contact it started bothering me.  So I tried to pop it out.  Sometimes just trying to pop it out makes it feel better.  I didn't think it came out, but apparantly, it did.  Then, when I put in my right lens, it never felt right.  It was weird, because my vision was fine in that eye, but it felt wrong.

So by this afternoon, I was getting a headache and had had enough of my eye bothering me.  I went to take out my contacts and the left one wasn't even there!!  Which explains why my right eye felt funny.  My vision was wop-sided.  My left eye isn't as good as my right eye, even with contacts, so it didn't occur to me that the lens wasn't in.

So by this time, I've washed my hands, wrung out my washcloth... It's gone.  Buh-bye.  I've searched everywhere, just in case.

These are very expensive contacts.  Not those cheap-o, bad-for-your-eyes disposables.  I've got astigmatism and near sightedness - just plain poor eyesight.  Wah.  I feel ugly in my bi-focal glasses.  :-(  And, of course this is Friday.  I'll have to wait until Monday to call my Virginia eye doctor to find out what we can do.  I'm sure he won't order me a new one, but maybe he'll send me my records and by this time next year I'll get around to finding a new doctor.  Okay.  So that's a little exaggerated.  Maybe by the end of summer.  Woe is me.

Poor Steph....
I have the same thing as you poor eye sight. I usually only wear contacts during the day and glasses at night. I'm on my last set myself. I know if I loose one of these my doctor is gonna tell me to get a new exam and start over. They won't let me reorder. So good luck to you on that one.
Take care, Chrissie

I've never used contacts. I need glasses to read.  I've been considering getting contacts this year, though.  I know what you mean about feeling old with bifocals. UGH!
